AGUR LAKE CAMP RULES AND POLICIES
Because we are a family-oriented campground, all rules and policies will be actively enforced for the enjoyment and safety of all our guests. All guests will be asked to review the rules and acknowledge acceptance of the rules on check-in.
Quiet Time
10pm – 7am. Please be considerate and respectful to your neighbours.
Smoking
This restriction applies to the smoking/vaping of tobacco & cannabis. All cabins are strictly non-smoking. A $500.00 fine will be incurred for smoking in cabins or rooms. Our property is a smoke-free environment outside of designated areas: smoking of any of the above is allowed in designated smoking areas only.
This applies to those guests using cannabis for medicinal purposes as well. The purpose of this policy is to increase safety and enjoyment of the visiting public by minimizing their exposure to second-hand smoke, reducing the risk of wildfires, and protecting wildlife and the environment from the hazardous effects of discarded cigarette butts and other litter associated with smoking.
Alcohol and Drug Use
Intoxication due to alcohol or drug use/misuse is prohibited. The use of any illegal substances is also prohibited. The purpose of this rule is to protect the safety of all visitors as well as the campground by minimizing risky behaviours; e.g. guests need to be able to tend campfires responsibly and be able to evacuate themselves in the event of an emergency.
Fire Regulations
Open fires are permitted in the Day Use Area only where there is a community fire pit. Guests must not leave the fire unattended at any time. The Campground Operators will extinguish the campfire before retiring for the night. When a Fire Ban is in order by the Kamloops Fire District, propane firepits and BBQ’s are permitted. The use of candles is not permitted to be used anywhere in camp.
Emergency Procedures
Campground Operators will review with guests the 1) fire procedures for both the cabins and forest fires, 2) assembly point, and 3) evacuation plan. In the event of an evacuation alert and there is time, guests & staff are to pack up important belongings (medication, pets, personal items) and place them in their vehicles. Guests & staff will stay on alert during this time. Guests may choose to check out immediately if they wish.
Every guest must have a vehicle available at the camp to transport them in the event of an evacuation. The caretakers are not responsible for removing guests from the property in their personal vehicle.
If the camp is asked to evacuate, guests and staff are to gather at the assembly point then everyone will leave together via the safest route. The Campground Operators take the lead.
Vehicles
Every guest must have a vehicle available at the camp to transport them in the event of an evacuation. The caretakers are not responsible for removing guests from the property in their personal vehicle.
Check in is 3:00pm | Check out is at 11:00 am – no late check outs!
These times are strictly adhered to for cleaning & disinfecting protocols to be performed prior to the next guests checking in.
