A massive thank you to the camp's many donors. Over the years the support has been amazing and the Society wants each and every one of our donors to know that without this support, the camp really wouldn’t be able to operate each season. Every dollar or item donated goes 100% towards camp operations and improvements!

In the summer of 2019, in the middle of camping season, the water system stopped working! This was a real nuisance and the board got to work right away on solutions & options for a new system. In the Spring of 2020, a chlorinated water system, new water softener & a uranium filter were installed! Thank you to the District of Summerland and the Agur Family, the cost of this project was 50% covered!!
Special funding from the Penny Lane Foundation in Summerland enables the Society to hire a Summerland student to work at the camp during the season. The student is a local Summerland graduate living in or returning to Summerland each summer to work. The student is heavily involved in the day to day operations of the camp, the guests as well as other projects and social media. In 2020, Haleigh Bach designed, created, built & installed interpretive nature signs to highlight the many bird & plant species throughout the property.
Not all donations are cash making it really hard to put a value on them! These types of donations are just as treasured and we couldn’t be more thankful for them!
Dettling Electric is one such donor. Over the years, Dwayne Dettling, has generously donated countless personal hours to the camp working on many projects. Dwayne has worked on electrical projects big and small at the camp. Thanks to Dettling Electric the biffy has lights for those midnight trips to the washroom! The camp’s new chlorinated water system functions perfectly all summer. All of the cabins have home away from home power for guests who need it for everything from keeping the burgers frozen to running any machines required at night.
