Suzanne Newton - Secretary

Raised in Summerland, Suzanne appreciates the value of a small town upbringing. Having travelled throughout the world while working for Walt Disney’s World On Ice in the 90’s, Suzanne witnessed firsthand the barriers that many experienced throughout each community visited. Those experiences, paired with her mother’s consistent example of serving her community, forged a path to non-profit work.

While raising three vibrant children, Suzanne went back to school and in 2017, earned her BBA in Management. While in school, Suzanne was a member of Enactus, presenting on social community projects across Canada. Those projects greatly impacted the organizations they served. Furthering her education, Suzanne completed the Non-Profit Management Certification at Simon Fraser University, allowing her to further her skillset within the non-profit sector.

Toni Clark, Volunteer Bookkeeper & Fundraising

Toni has lived in the Okanagan Valley since 1964, moving between communities but not wanting to leave.  She is happiest enjoying many of the outdoor activities possible in this four-season environment.  Her education in Recreation Management allowed her to focus primarily working for Non-Profits, and when not working for them, volunteering in some capacity.

Agur Lake Camp Society embodies everything she wants to support, and provides exactly the blend of a challenge and opportunity she enjoys.
