Jim is not a man who sets limits or lives by convention. Whether he is soaring above Aspen in his paraglider, kayaking down a wild river in Canada, ski mountaineering in the Alps, or climbing a rock face in California, Jim is living his message. He believes that risk taking and success are linked and that anyone can achieve levels of success far beyond their perceived limits. Jim lives with his wife Toni, in Summerland. Jim is also an avid golfer and loves to sit around the fire or be onstage with his guitar. |

Pat has served on Summerland’s Action Fest board for several years. She loves to swim year around, and walk throughout our beautiful town. |
Ken Rae - Director
My family and I moved to Summerland in 1977 and quickly became enamoured with the area. In addition to farming a small orchard I worked in the construction industry for 45+ years; holding a number of positions within that sector. I feel fortunate to have volunteered in a number of organizations which included The Summerland Kinsmen Club, The Summerland Golf Club, Parkdale Place Housing Society, Softball B.C., The Summerland Youth Centre Society, and The Summerland Hospital Care Auxiliary. As a new Director in 2024, I welcome the challenge to work and move forward with The Agur Lake Camp Society. The Camp has a tremendous history and I hope to be a part of its continued success. |
Joel Raitt - Director
Joel grew up in Summerland and has recently moved back with his wife who is expecting to be closer to family. He's owned his own business for the last 10+ years and is mostly focused online in fun niches like cycling, golf, wine and fishing - all things he enjoys. Joel loves the Summerland life, being outdoors and thinks it should be accessible for everyone. |
Randy Boras - Director & Volunteer Property Manager
Randy is a professional civil engineer and planner. He grew up in Southern Alberta but spent many summers in the beautiful Okanagan. He has over 30 years as a municipal engineering consultant, helping grow the firm across Western Canada as a partner, manager and board member. Randy has designed and managed many projects that helped improve accessibility: on roads, on sidewalks, in buildings and more. In 2016 the beautiful Okanagan drew him and his wife Lyse back again, this time to live in Penticton where he is semi-retired and she is a successful landscape painter. Randy has served on numerous City committees and advisory groups, and most recently was appointed to the Accessibility Task Force. In his spare time, he enjoys carpentry, cycling, kayaking, and hiking the amazing trails of the south Okanagan with his wonderful wife, and visiting their two grown children abroad. |
