Volunteers are members of closely-knit and very supportive teams.  They contribute as much time as they are willing to give.  Reward is in appreciation from fellow volunteers and the joy of the people who use the camp.

​We take the safety of our volunteers, guests and staff very seriously.  Our health and safety policies and procedures reflect our high standards.  In spite of this, for those volunteers who work in a treed wildland area, there are some inherent risks though we make necessary efforts to keep people safe.

    Volunteer Application & Waiver

    I understand and agree that volunteer service with Agur Lake Camp is conditional upon:
    1. Fulfilling a Criminal Record Check if required (joining the board, working around vulnerable people or the Society's funds).
    2. Observing all the policies, rules, regulations and instruction governing volunteering by Agur Lake Camp in effect at the time of commencing volunteering or established at a later date.
    3. Truthfully completing this form.
    4. Signing a Volunteer Waiver (see below).
    Volunteer Waiver
    By reading and signing this waiver, you are giving up the right to sue the Society for any reason.

    I hereby acknowledge that I have agreed to assist the Agur Lake Camp Society as a Volunteer possibly on their property.

    I understand and acknowledge that the property is mostly in its natural state and contains the hazards and dangers commonly found in areas of natural wilderness.

    I confirm that if I am to operate equipment in the completion of that task I am knowledgeable of and capable to operate such equipment.  I will read the Health & Safety Policy and agree to comply with Health & Safety requirements & Personal Protective Equipment requirements (to be provided).

    I hereby agree to waive any and all rights, claims, actions that I may have in the future against the Agur Lake Camp Society its Directors, Officers and Employees, for any and all claims, damages or injuries I may suffer as a result of volunteering to work on the property or operating any equipment in the completion of any volunteer work.
    ​By signing this form, you confirm that you agree to waive your rights to bring a court action to recover compensation for any injury to yourself arising out of your attendance on the property and the operation of any equipment. please read carefully before signing. 
    If you are under the age of 19:
    I am under the age of 19 and my parent/guardian gives permission for me to volunteer for Agur Lake Camp.
